Darwin to Dili 2016

A fleet of 8 yachts and over 60 crew will set sail for Dili, Timor-Leste in the 2016 Darwin Dili Yacht Rally.
The event is organised from Timor-Leste through the Ministry of Tourism and a cross sector Committee. The Ministry of Tourism Timor-Leste is generously offering prize money of USD15,000.
The 2016 event will be the seventh Darwin Dili Yacht Rally of the modern era, having recommenced in 2010 after a 36 year hiatus following successful events in 1973 and 1974.
YB Tracking are proud to be providing a tracking solution for yet another year. Each yacht will have a tracker installed (with the Antenna skyward) before the start of the competition. They will transit data through the Iridium satellite network to YB HQ servers where it is visualised onto our live race player. The race player updates every fifteen minutes making it easy for family and friends left ashore to follow the fleet or an individual yacht as they make their way to Dili and the warm welcome awaiting them.
