In less than 24 hours two like-minded women on a mission will embark on this challenging journey of a lifetime through unknown territory. Edwina Sorkin, a highly successful international business woman and Kate Sleath, a rallying enthusiast and active philanthropist will start their challenge of getting from the UK to Beijing, China within 30 days without support and with minimal comfort!
They know there will be many challenges along the way to their goal of raising £150.000 to support two worthwhile charities, Cancer ResearchUK and Macmillan Cancer Support, but are chomping at the bit to get on with this journey of a lifetime.
Why the “Beijing Biddies”?
Quite simply because both of them are past the magical number of 60!But don’t be fooled there is infinite energy on tap between them.
The ladies will have a YB Tracker throughout their challenge. It will transmit their position every hour to a map on their website so all their supporters, friends and family can follow their progress on the open road.
