When I was first asked to quote for this event, it seemed like a simple race—750 cold-water miles from Port Townsend, Washington, to Ketchikan, Alaska. But a little research quickly revealed just how extraordinary it really is.

No Motor. No Support. Participants sail, paddle, pedal, row, and even kick their way along the Inside Passage, a historic route traversed by native canoes for centuries.
From the start, I could feel the passion of Jesse, the Race Boss, and his incredible team. Their pride in this gruelling adventure was contagious, and their excitement for the challenge resonated deeply with us.

With a spirit of bulldog tenacity, competitors push themselves to conquer the elements and claim their place as someone who can proudly say, “I completed the R2AK.”
At YB Tracking, we’re honoured to be the official tracking provider for this awe-inspiring race. It’s not just a race—it’s a journey of resilience, history, and sheer determination. "Partnering with YB Tracking for Race to Alaska and SEVENTY48 was a game changer - like trading in a plastic spoon for a titanium spork. After years of hiccups and glitches with other trackers, suddenly, everything just worked. The system was seamless, their support unmatched, and when we needed adjustments mid-race, they took the time and effort to get us what we needed. Bravo." Jesse, the Race Boss
